The “March for Australia” rallies planned for Sunday 31 August are organised by white supremacists, with heavy involvement from Neo-Nazis. As Jews, we know the dangers of white supremacist ideologies. We stand in solidarity with First Nations peoples and all other communities targeted by the far-right. We stand on a Jewish tradition of combating fascism, antisemitism and all forms of racism.
The same conservative media that have promoted these racist rallies are the same outlets that pretend to care about antisemitism and pit our community against others.
Over the past 22 months, millions of people across the world have attended protests for Palestine. On 3 August 300,000 people from all backgrounds and walks of life marched across the Harbour Bridge to call for an end to Israel’s genocide in Gaza.
Today, we stand with those marching at Palestine solidarity rallies across the country, against far right vitriol and hatred. We will only be free when all of us are free.
